Synopsis

Crepúsculo and Insónia are two of Tiago Sousa’s recent album titles, denoting this young musician’s predilection for temporal spaces and
free-zones of creativity, time lapses and unmarked spaces for histories, suggestions and ambiances. The concert at Teatro Maria Matos features
two ambitious compositions. The Walden Pond’s Monk, with new arrangements for piano, percussion, clarinet, cello and keyboards, is a free
approachment of the life and works of the American writer Henry David Thoreau. Samsara, the second composition, is a brand new creation,
illuminated by the Hindu concept of the cycles of life and death.
